DICK TILTON, BLUES PIANIST
After several years’ absence from the East Coast music scene, Dick Tilton has re-emerged here in Maui. Highly regarded as a talented freelance musician, Tilton worked on the management teams of ARP Instruments, KORG Keyboards, and New England Digital/Synclavier, before returning to performing full-time in the mid-80’s.
Dick’s credits include numerous advertising jingles, a score for a dance company, and appearances at prestigious venues such as Madison Square Garden, Boston’s House of Blues, the Philadelphia Civic Center, Boston Garden, and many others. In 2002, he moved to Maui, gigging only occasionally, and playing the upright piano in his girlfriend’s living room for hours on end.
Today, Dick Tilton is back, re-introducing himself to old fans and new audiences alike, with a fresh new CD: Dick Tilton, Blues Piano, due to be released in September. Meanwhile, here’s a link to Track One: Save My Baby. Enjoy!
